Fine Art

From Drawing and Oil Painting to Digital Illustration and Printmaking, my art continues to evolve through new mediums. My art reaches out to the changes in realist art influenced by my graphic design, traditional animation, and commerical art roots.

Graphic / Web Design

My first love in the arts was in its commercial use. I still fine a simplicity and pure nature to a clean vector logo design. Proper design can completely change the way someone sees their world.

Art Education

By seeing each student as an individual, I teach with a HIGH emphasis on student driven constructive critiques that place the student in the position of control over their own education. If they succeed or fail, it is singularly on their shoulders. I have altered the desired testing methods to become fully inclusive. (ie: All tests are read allowed and fill in the blank based) This dissuades others from cheating, as the test given is different than any other given in another classroom. It also stops students from leaving the classroom due to an IEP. No one is ostracized, ridiculed, or encouraged to limit their own potential.

About Me

I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for my BFA in Applied Media Arts / Animation degree in 2007. After graduation, I moved out to Los Angeles and worked as a traditional animator in music videos and commercials within the state. I moved back to Pittsburgh to work with students inquiring about furthering their education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. In 2011, I received my Art Educator Licensure from East Carolina University. I soon become a full time teacher at Camden County High School. While working there I helped beautify the school with many large scale murals as well developed and implemented a Digital Arts/Design class. In 2013, I began my studies at Norfolk State University, where I earned my Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Studies. I have been proud to exhibit my artwork in multiple states and famous museums such as the MOCA, Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and the Chrysler Fine Art Museum.
